SPRINGFIELD, IL –Joseph Patrick Doyle passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021.

He was born July 29, 1934, the son of Joseph and Mary Catherine Doyle. He married Margery Shuster on January 30, 1971. She preceded him in death, as well as two brothers, Timothy and Michael.

Pat attended Springfield Schools and Regis College in Colorado. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and was President of Doyle-Peterson Insurance for 45 years. Pat was a sports enthusiast, sailor, and avid duck hunter.

He is survived by his best friend, Rosie, his beloved black lab; stepchildren, Sandra Yedinak and Albert Shuster, Jr., both of Springfield; 8 step-grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at Blessed Sacrament Church with Reverend Jeff Grant officiating. Private burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
