INDIAN TRAIL, NC – Joyce A. Daughton, 85, formerly of Springfield, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Atrium Health Union Hospital in Monroe, NC.

She was born December 12, 1940, to Harold and Lucille (Gallas) Wagner. She married Thomas E. Daughton on October 8, 1966 and he preceded her in death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Oller; and brother, Ronald Ennis.

Joyce retired from Franklin Life after 30 years of service.

She is survived by her children, Dianna (Brian) Hanneman, Tammy (Greg) Iversen, Theresa Daughton and Patrick (Kimberly) Daughton; seven grandchildren, Tony Lozano (Alexa nee Ulrich), Brianna Hanneman, Brendan Hanneman, Craig Linne Jr (Bryce), Joshua Linne, Kailee Daughton, Jonathan Daughton and three great-grandchildren, Cayden, Cruz, Ozzy Lozano; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Rudy.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of a Memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, at Christ the King Church, with Reverend Alex McCullough officiating. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
