SPRINGFIELD, IL – Judith A. Hurley, 72, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born June 19, 1949, to Donald and Dorothy (Meyer) Hickson. She married Carl

Hurley, Jr. in 1980 in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 2006. Her sister, Donna Bowers also preceded her in death.

Judy was formerly employed at Springfield Southeast High School as Department Head Cook.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Crew; stepchildren, Tammy Hurley and Timothy Hurley; four granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
