Karen Sue "Susie" LeBeau Woith, 67 of Springfield, IL, passed on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Springfield, IL.

She was born on April 22, 1956, in Kankakee, IL, to Rene and Carolyn (Sorenson) LeBeau. She married Terry Woith in June of 1984 and he survives.

Karen is also survived by her daughter, Jaymie Andresen of Mokena; son, Ian Woith of Homewood; three grandchildren, Alexander Andresen, Katheryn Andresen and Vivienne Andresen, all of Mokena; her two sisters, Elaine (LeBeau) McGinnis, married to Marlen "Muggs" McGinnis of Bushnell and Linda (LeBeau) DeMmon of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

As a child, she attended St. Patrick's Grade School followed by Bishop McNamara High School before attending college in Florida. Karen then settled in the Springfield area in 1985. She worked at Vision Care Associates until the time of her passing. Karen loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren as often as possible. She was a lover of books, reading, history, and was a great lover of animals. Karen and Terry rescued dozens of cats and dogs over the past 30 years, caring for many well into their senior years. She also loved to bake and spend time with family at various parks in the area.

Visitation: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, July 21, 2023, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home - Springfield.
