SPRINGFIELD, IL – Kathyleen Sue Hawkins, 67, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at her home.
She was born February 16, 1955, to Clayton and Imelda (Kremitzki) Norris. She married Alonzo Hawkins on January 1, 2006, in Hernando, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, James; step-sister, Tracey; grandson, Tayveon; grandparents, Henry and Mable; and brothers-in-law, Peter, Michael and William.
Kathyleen was a waitress for 10 years at many places and later a PA for over 20 years. She was a member of Love and Deliverance Evangelistic Church.
Kathyleen was a very loving and caring person. She enjoyed joking around and making people laugh. She also enjoyed cooking for everyone. She was a person you could turn to for help of any kind. If she had it, so did they. And above all, she enjoyed the most was her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Delbert Eugene (Jessica Ann) Watson (Anderson), David Allen (Kayla Marrie) Watson (Anderson), Jennifer Rebecca (Kevin A.) Knoop (Curtis) and Katrina Marie Reiterman (Curtis); grandchildren, Kristian Andrew Bailey, Jillian Renee Bailey, Karson Coda Bailey, Austin Cole Pemberton, Skylor Cole Bowman, Dakota Michael Robb, LaWisha Lorraine Lomoon Starr Watson, Earnestine Mae Watson, LaTonya Monquie Watson, Fantasia Michelle Watson, Azia Laray Donovan (Bardo), Deontre Allen Watson, Destiny Angelina Watson, India Latora Watson, Davion Allen Watson, Bryan Eugene Creason, Jr., Kaydin Charles Creason, Kayvreyon David-Nailjah Watson, and Meshell Lynn Anderson; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, George Andrew Mayes; sisters, Dianna Lynn Shea, Mary Anna Zellhofer and Carla Mae Boyce; step-sister, Nausue Martinez; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor C.C. Doss officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
