Kenneth Lynn Krueger, Sr., 85, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 24, 1939 to Gus and Louise (Cordes) Krueger. He married Maryann Foley on December 30, 1965 in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, John, Paul, Fritz and Carl.

Kenneth was a US Army veteran. He began farming at an early age and then was a union carpenter with Local 16 for 56 years. He was a member of Cherry Hills Church.

He is survived by his wife, Maryann; children, Kelly (Stuart) Clark, Kenneth Krueger, Jr., and Todd (Lori) Krueger; 6 grandchildren, Jordan (Tori) Clark, Blake Clark, Rachael Clark, Ty Clark, Isabella Krueger and Jacob Krueger; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 1 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cherry Hills Church.
