SPRINGFIELD – Kim R. Highland, 68, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Arc of Sangamon Valley.

She was born August 31, 1957, to Donald and Rita (Stephen) Rinkenberger, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Florence Rinkenberger. She married Larry Baggerly in Springfield on October 27, 2000.

Kim retired from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Megan; four grandchildren; sister, Dawn Stork; brother, David Rinkenberger; and several nieces and nephews.
