SPRINGFIELD – Kimberly Ann Simmering, 62, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026, at her home.

She was born in Springfield on April 7, 1964. She was preceded in death by her parents, JD and Mary Ann Branson and Joseph Simmering; brother and sister-in-law, Kirby and Lori Simmering; nephew, Tyler Simmering; fiancé, Dave Looper; and brother-in-law, Peter Campo.

Kim enjoyed riding motorcycles and caring for her plants. She never knew a stranger and loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter, Karly (Tony) McLaughlin; grandchildren, Kennedy, Ella and Fitz; siblings, Karla (Allen) Janssen, Kevin (Kathi) Simmering, Karen Branson (Creg Galloway), Kay (Ron) Lee, Linda (Don) Daugherty, Jeanne Campo and Nancy (Gary) Bartels; and several nieces and nephews, including Krystal (Charlie) and Allee Heriford and Bryan Grieme.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2026, at Roselawn Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Riverton Knights of Columbus Hall.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Breadline where Kim enjoyed volunteering her time.
