SPRINGFIELD – Lana Charleen Irwin, 70, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.

She was born October 31, 1952 to James and Jennie Merlene (Wright) Irwin. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jarrett Irwin.

Lana had worked as a caregiver for Addus Healthcare and as a custodian for Maintenance Supply Co. She was a member of Springfield First Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Pola M. Thaeng-Thong; son, Jeffrey Thoman; brother, Steven Irwin; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor A.L. Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
