SPRINGFIELD – Larayne Diann Hammond, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at her home.

Diann was born in Springfield on April 29, 1945, the daughter of Thomas and Julia (Wycoff) Hammond, both of whom preceded her in death. She married William H. Hammond in 1964 and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2025. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Tom Cunningham.

Diann previously worked as a medical transcriptionist. She was a talented quilt maker and operated It's Quilted for many years. She attended Sugar Creek United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Bill Hammond and Todd (Cathy) Hammond; daughter, Holly (Chub) Hough; grandchildren, Thomas (Laura) Hammond, Colin (Elizabeth) Hammond, Hillary (Matt) Cook, Emily (Riley) Murphy; Shelby (Joey) Wetstein, and Sarah Hammond; great-grandchildren, Ella, Adalyn, Luke, Mason and Mackenzie.

Private family services will be held.
