SPRINGFIELD – Larry D. Baskett, Sr., 76, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 in Springfield.

He was born May 23, 1948, to Fred and Christine (Jackson) Baskett. He has two surviving brothers, Fred Jr. (Jessie) of Springfield and Dean (Jean) of Wetumpka, AL.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Jackie(Georgia) of Tulsa, OK. and his Favorite Uncle, J.B. Baskett of Springfield.

Larry graduated from Feitshans High School in 1967.  He was a retired member of IBEW Local 193 in Springfield for over 50 years.  He took great pride in his career and had a great work ethic; he would always take time to help family members when needed.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Creviston) Baskett; his sons, Larry D. Baskett, Jr. and Brian M. Baskett (Rachael); seven grandchildren, Logan, Keagan, Ellie, Ted, Avery, Kane, and Kaycie; and one great-grandchild, Barrett Dale.  Larry loved his grandchildren and great-grandson, and they brought him endless amounts of love and pride.

Larry wished to have no services.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date and time.
