SPRINGFIELD – Larry L. Rhodes, Sr., 66, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, at his home.

He was born December 3, 1958, to Gordon R. and Betty J. (Wolfe) Rhodes, Sr. He married Tina M. Fox on March 28, 1998 and she preceded him in death in 2023. He was also preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Simon West; and siblings, William E. Rhodes, Gordon Rhodes, Jr., Betty Hamblin, Janet Sexton, Sally Hicks and Paula Cook.

Larry enjoyed fishing, camping and canning jellies and jams with produce from his garden. He especially enjoyed swimming with his grandchildren and watching horror movies.

He is survived by his son, Larry L. Rhodes, Jr. (Michelle); grandchildren, Trevor, Chelsea and Madelynn Rhodes; step-sister, Shelly West; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery.
