SPRINGFIELD, IL – Leila P. Ring, 92, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018, at Heritage Hospice at Memorial.

She was born November 20, 1925, to Charles and Mary (Kile) Knox. She married William Ring in 1945, in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Diana Everhart; son, David Ring; grandson, David Ring, Jr. and sisters, Estelle Case and Virginia Barrett.

Leila retired from the Illinois Secretary of State. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school superintendent and Deaconess.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gray and Janice (Robert) Gray; three grandsons; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Service: 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Fairview Baptist Church, with Pastor Robert Gebhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
