SPRINGFIELD, IL – Loretta L. Brooks, 84, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at her home.

She was born in Webb City, Missouri, on September 14, 1936, to Amos and Minnie (Lassiter) Land. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam Brooks; grandson, Daniel Shepherd; a great-grandson; brother, Charles Land; and nephew, Charles Land, Jr.

Loretta enjoyed scrapbooking, sewing, crafting and home décor.

She is survived by her children, Ray, Diana, Randy, Steve, Sharon and Amanda; grandchildren, Nicole, Sierra, Nathan, Heather, Joshua, Sarah, Ellen, Michael, James, Grace and Taylor; several great-grandchildren and two nieces.

Private family services will be held.
