SPRINGFIELD – Lucille I. (Ishmael) Riecks passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.

She was born in Oakford on Nov. 29, 1924 to Elza and Laura Mae (Stewart) Ishmael. Lucille graduated from Lanphier High School in 1943. She married Carl G. Riecks on April 2, 1945 in Beauregard, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; half-sisters, Florence Elder, Elmira Rader, Ruth Mesojednik, Laura Mae Altig, and twin sister, Irene Ishmael (infant); and two sons, Carl D. Riecks (Patty) and William Riecks (Lisa).

She is survived by sons, Richard Riecks (Cris) and Raymond Riecks (Wanda); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will host a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.
