SPRINGFIELD, IL - Marina Sue Dowds, age 56, of Springfield, died June 8th at her residence.

Marina was born April 22, 1962, to Earl Dean Dowds and Betty jo Blurton in HillSboro, Illinois. She resided in the Effingham area for several years before moving to Mississippi. She later moved back to the Springfield area where she resided until her death.

Marina is survived by brothers: Richard Harrison and wife, Evelyn of Mesa, Arizona, Joe Dowds of Peoria, Butch Dowds and wife, Angie of Marquette Heights, and Donald Dowds of Salem, Illinois; sisters: Jane Mooneyhand and husband, Larry of Hempstead, Texas, Sharon Tripp and husband, Harold of Springfield, Illinois, Lonna Jean Dowds of Salem, Illinois, Tina Dowds of Springfield and Barbara Weidner of Salem, Illinois, sister-in-law, Brenda Harrison of Stewardson, half-brothers, Danny, Randy and Michael Dowds of Peoria Illinois. Marina also has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins. A special nephew, Kyle Tripp, of Springfield.

Marina is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and one brother, Paul Harrison of Stewardson.
