SPRINGFIELD, IL – Mark A. Homer, 71, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 25, 1950, to LaVerne "Hoot" and Esther (Edwards) Homer, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Laci McCoy on May 23, 2003, in Athens.

Mark was a journeyman lineman for Ameren/CILCO, retiring in 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Laci; children, Jordan (Willie) Andrew, Aaron (Leslie) Homer, Ashleigh Lockhart and Zane Lockhart; sisters, Marsha (Danny) Yates and Carolyn (Carey) Bollinger; brothers, Chuck (Patricia) Homer, Brad (Mickey) Homer and Craig Homer; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Senior Services of Central Illinois.
