SPRINGFIELD, IL – Mary Alice Grant, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at her home.

She was born August 6, 1931. She married Robert M. Grant on August 25, 1949, in Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Kevin Grant; and daughters, Gayla Meneghetti and Trudy Ayappa.

Mary was formerly employed by Allis Chalmers and Bunn-o-matic. She was a seamstress, artist and wonderful roller-skater. She travelled the world with her daughters, Bobbi and Shelly, attending many world trampoline competitions. She was a member of Lord of the Harvest Church and Springfield Ski and Boat Club.

She is survived by her children, Pastor Joe (Catra) Grant, Bobbi (Robert) Beggs and Shelly (Shahrom) Jahanshir; grandchildren, Shannon (Scott) Mathies, Robert (Debby) Grant, Michael Meneghetti, Katra (Karl) Knoernschild, Zach (Annie) Ayappa, Katie (Tristen) Embery, Bridget Beggs, Courtney Beggs, Justin (Elise) Jahanshir and Shauna (Mitch) Wallner; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
