SPRINGFIELD, IL – Mary Helen Bartolomucci, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 10, 1939, to Paul and Dorothy (Schneider) Archer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dario Bartolomucci; and sister, Marjorie Archer Leet. Mary was the valedictorian of the first graduating class of Glenwood High School in 1957. She retired from Springfield Electric and later was a cook for Delaney's. She was an avid reader and cook who wrote two cookbooks. She was a member of Laurel United Methodist Church and American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Young; step-daughters, Susan Kinsel, Angela Heitz and Karen Hrncar; step-son, John Young; grandchildren, Megan Moldenhauer, Matthew Delay, Michelle Rumble, Keith Kinsel, Adam Heitz, Amie Smith, April Kegg, Alysa Huizenga, Achele Palmer and Amber Heitz; many great-grandchildren; brother, John (Mary Ann) Archer; nieces, Sandra Bollinger and Tina Archer and nephew, John Archer, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Kent Lolling officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Pawnee.
