SHERMAN, IL – Mary Jane Keen, 96, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Villa Health Care East.

She was born December 10, 1921, to James and Hettie (Wilcoxson) Squires. She married Edgar Keen in 1954. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Gleason Squires; and sisters, Ann Rodgerson, Joyce Pieper, Lucille DeFraties, and Catherine Squires.

Mary Jane was employed by Fleischman Yeast, Sangamo Electric and retired from SuperX/Kroger. She was a member of West Side Christian Church. She loved flowers and enjoyed dancing.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Dianne (Keen) Vansacik; grandchildren, Michael (Tara) Vansacik and Kara (John) Arceo; great-grandchildren, Sofie and Chloe Vansacik and Keoni Arceo; sisters, Wilda Harris of Springfield, Rosalie Recchia of Bossier City, LA, and Luella Griffiths of Arizona.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.
