SPRINGFIELD, IL – Mary L. Tipps, 74, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born January 2, 1944, to Elwood and Ida Mae (Harner) Durbin. She married Henry Tipps on July 3, 1976, in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Iris A. Davis, Billy Durbin and Delores Eggers.

Mary retired from Johnson Controls. She was a member of VFW Post 10302 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved flowers and watching TV.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; children, Michelle (Tom) Streder and Kenneth (Sharon) Moorman; grandchildren, Destyn, Shayne, Thomas, Joseph and Lauren; sister-in-law, Marie Durbin and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Gifford officiating.
