Mary "Claudene" Watts, 76, of Pawnee, passed away on Thursday December 1, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born on June 22, 1946, the daughter of Adele Briner and Marvin Howell of Hannibal, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Charlene Foran, of Douglasville, GA; and nephew, Brian Summers of Hannibal, MO.

Claudene retired from Bunn with twenty-three years of service as a switchboard operator. Prior to retirement she was part of a women's bowling league and a member of the Red Hat Society where she made many friends. She went on numerous motorcycle trips, traveling around the country with family and friends.  Claudene enjoyed spending time with her family and living on the farm.  She especially loved being with all of her grandchildren.

Claudene is survived by five children; Ron Zumwalt of Springfield, IL, David Zumwalt of Riverton, IL, Erika (Cris) Eich of Springfield, IL, Christopher (Tara) Watts of Pawnee, IL, Michael Watts of Chatham, IL; ten grandchildren; Gage (Victoria) Eich, Kayla Zumwalt, Chase Eich, Noah Zumwalt, Jordan Watts, Kaiden Watts, Benjamin Watts, Broderick Watts, Carson Watts; great-granddaughter Alaina Eich.  She is also survived by her sisters, Diane Summers of Hannibal, MO, Karen Henry of Lake Mary, FL, Annice (Lyle) McGee of Springfield, IL, and Connie Dodson of Columbia, MO. In addition, she is survived by nephews Kevin Summers of Perry, MO, Tab Summers of Hannibal, MO, Nathan (Jen) McGee of Springfield, IL and niece Kristen (Josh) Brown of Springfield, IL and many cousins. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Sadie.
