SPRINGFIELD – Maureen "Miki" B. Hand, 81, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at The Grove Health & Rehab in Jacksonville.

She was born in Chicago on October 11, 1943 to Charles Joseph and Vivian (Stepek) Donnelly. She married Albert Hand in 1991 in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 2006.  She was also preceded by two grandchildren, Balin and Amanda.

Miki retired from the State of Illinois. She was a member of West Side Christian Church.

She is survived by her children, James (Johnna) Glass and David (Misty) Glass; step-children, Allen Hand, Kathy (Ted) Adams, Karen (Roger) Day, Todd (Serena) Hennings, Marj (Junior) Cooper, Erica (Danny) Robbins and Michelle Guthrie; grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Nikki, Sara, Jessica, Felicia, Lacy, Megan, Matt, Nathan, Lindsay, Courtney, Chris, Colton, Neil, Coral and Zeth; and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Cindy Lash officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
