Michael Anthony Gristy departed this world on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 5:09 a.m. at the age of 23.

Michael had a huge heart and was loved by many. He enjoyed basketball, spending time with his kids and loved ones, fishing, eating, and friends. He had a passion for music and helping out wherever he could. Mike Mike, a nickname given to him as a child, was adored by his half-siblings and step-siblings. His smile and big brown eyes could brighten the darkest of days.

Mike is survived by his father, Robert Gristy; step-mother, Sarah Gristy; mother, Julie Marshall; brothers, Robert, Bradley, Ezekiel, and Bobby; sisters, Julia, Lily, and Zylynn, as well as two children, son, Michael Anthony (JR); and daughter, Iris.

A private service will be held for family.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to help with Mike's service. Donations may be made to Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.
