SPRINGFIELD – Honorable Michael R. Robinson, 69, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. John's Hospital.

He was born April 13, 1954, to Philip and Sharon (Holt) Robinson, Jr., both of whom preceded him in death.

Michael was an Administrative Law judge for the Illinois Human Rights Commission, worked for many years with the Illinois State Bar Association and taught GED classes. He was an avid Fighting Illini Fan and loved watching and supporting the Springfield Youth Football League. He was a proud member of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity and volunteered as a mock trial judge. Above all, he was a devoted father to his daughter, Andrea.

He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Jean Robinson; siblings, Philip Robinson III, April Netley and Robin Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will host a memorial gathering from 4:30 p.m. until the time of a Celebration of Life and story sharing at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at First Congregational Church, 2100 South Bates in Springfield. Private family burial will be at a later date.
