Mary Michelle Delheimer was born May 16, 1969 at March Airforce Base in Riverside, California, to Richard Delheimer and Cathy Lambert. She passed away on September 2, 2024.

Michelle grew up in Rushville, Illinois and graduated in the class of 1987 from Rushville High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Illinois Springfield in 2006. Michelle was employed as an administrator of medical records at SIU Medicine in Springfield, Illinois.

Surviving her are her children, Dylan Fishel, son of the late Shawn Fishel, and Theo Blackston, and Emily Blackston, son and daughter of Daniel Blackston. She is also survived by her mother and father, her sisters, Bree Albers, Janell Clark, and Maggie Ueland, her brother, Andy Delheimer; her many nephews and nieces, and her beloved cats.

Michelle enjoyed reading and literature, baking and cooking, being with nature, listening to music, and spending time with her children. She was a kindhearted and deeply intelligent person. Michelle was an excellent daughter, sister, and mother who lived a full life of love.

The family has held a celebration of life at Michelle's mother's home in Springfield, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her children for their educational funds. Please contact a member of her family for information on how to donate.
