SPRINGFIELD – Nancy J. Simpson, 70, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 14, 1955 to Charles and Katherine (Miner) Simpson, both of whom preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kayla Dibler.

Nancy worked as an administrative assistant for Illinois Department of Human Services, retiring after 32 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Severado; grandchildren, Julius Simpson-Severado and Landon Severado; brother, Danny Simpson; and several nieces and nephews.
