SPRINGFIELD – Nora Isabelle Baker, 75, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at her home.

She was born January 4, 1950 to Edgar and Pauline Dyer. She preceded her in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald Baker, Sr., on June 24, 2025. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Douglas Huston, Jr.

Nora grew up in Sherman, IL and retired from the United States Postal Service.

She is survived by her children, Tammy (Doug) Huston, Jamie (Margi) Roberts, John Roberts (Virginia Clark), Donald L. (Dawn) Baker, Jr. and Tony Baker; grandchildren, Rachel Stuhmer and Kayla Roberts; great-grandchildren, Kylie Huston, Stella Huston, C.J. Way and Briggs Stuhmer; siblings, Jean Hite and Gary Dyer; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2025, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Reverend Millard Baker officiating.
