Obituary

SPRINGFIELD - Nora Elizabeth Enlow, 98, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Cedarhurst Senior Living. She was born March 15, 1926 to William B. and Della Mae (Byers) Richardson. She married James E. Enlow on March 18, 1945 in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 2019. She was also preceded by her brothers, William B. Richardson and Clarence D. Richardson; and sisters, Mary Margaret Gochanour and Emma Lou Beams.

She was an excellent homemaker and cook and loved to entertain. Homemaking included being an excellent seamstress. She was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her husband James was the love of her life, followed by all her family. After her children were raised she was employed as an administrative assistant for 10 years at Lincoln Land Community College. She and her husband lived in retirement in Naples Florida for 26 years. Upon returning home they resided at Brenden Gardens in Springfield where she made many friends. She loved life and cherished every day in her later years. She started each day with putting on her make-up and dressing up with all accessories and sparkle. Her love and spirit for life will be missed by all of her loved ones.

She is survived by her children, William R. Enlow (Susan) of Naples, Fla, Marsha Enlow Clayton (Gary) of Naples, Fla, Mark E. Enlow (Margaret) of Loami; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert M Richardson.

There will be private services with the immediate family.
