SPRINGFIELD, IL – Norma J. Emmons, 87, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020, at her home.

She was born April 13, 1933, to Cecil F. and Beulah (Stearns) Kennedy. She married Robert E. Emmons in 1988. He preceded her in death in 2004. She also was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; daughter, Sandra Sheraden; brother, Oren Kennedy; and granddaughter, McKenzie Force.

Norma retired from the State of Illinois.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Potts, Barbara Weiters, Michael Wieters, and William "Pat" Weiters; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson on the way; brother, Cecil Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held Monday, December 7, 2020, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Reverend Brooks Wilson officiating. The funeral service may be viewed live at 1 p.m. via the link below. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
