SPRINGFIELD - Norma Jean Miller, 83, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away on July 16, 2025.

She was the daughter of George Albert Newell and Dorthy Marie Harford. She married Franklin E. Miller on August 16, 1975.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Edward; sisters Mary Seger and Vera Stanley; and her parents.

She is survived by four sisters, Dorothy (Heinze) Kluge, Pat (Jack) Wells, Cheryl Stinnett and Violet Gibson; several nieces and nephews; and four step-children Judy, Patty, Helen and David.

She was a member of Richland Creek Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m. until the time of service at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Masten officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
