CHESTERFIELD, MO – Norma Jeanne (Kirby) Skube, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO.

She was born November 24, 1929, to Raymond and Florence (Gusswein) Kirby. She married William "Bill" C. Skube on October 16, 1948, in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Margaret Harrell; brother, Richard Kirby; and grandson, Philip Rachford.

Jeanne worked as a bookkeeper for Slusar & Bishop Orthodontics and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Decatur. She loved shopping and spending time with family.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Michael) Rachford, Barbara (James) King, Theresa (Richard) Mendenhall and Lawrence (Stephanie) Skube; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Kindra, Tara, Julie, Matthew, Grant and Morgan; eight great-grandchildren, Madelaine, Selina, Nathan, Jackson, Lauren, Lily, Jagger, and Mira; one great-great-grandchild, Tayven; sisters, Rita (Jesse) Moyer, Bernadine (Mason) Wagner-Slack, brother, James (Donna) Kirby; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Saint Aloysius Catholic Church in Springfield, Illinois, with Reverend James Isaacson officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
