SPRINGFIELD – Oscar William Ansell IV, 59, passed away September 3, 2025.

He was born March 5, 1966, to Oscar William Ansell III and Judith (Dunham) Ansell, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Ansell.

Oscar was a graduate of Ohio Dominican College. He worked as a machinist in Los Angeles and Springfield. He also worked as a bartender at the Track Shack in Springfield. He enjoyed playing chess and writing.

He is survived by his brothers, Tom (Liz) Ansell of Springfield and Pete (Jennifer) Ansell of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.

Private family burial was held.
