Patricia Ann Mulligan, 71, formerly of Heyworth, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born November 21, 1947, to James and Mary (Chick) Olson. She married James Edward "Ed" Mulligan on November 18, 1966, in Normal. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brother, James Olson.

Patricia was formerly employed as a telephone operator with GTE and later as a supervisor with the IRS. She was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Dora Mulligan (Randy Farney), Jay (Marilyn) Mulligan, Sean Mulligan (Sean Harries), Carol Purdue, Joyce McGinnis, James D. (Sandy) Mulligan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, William "Bill" Olson; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019, at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church.
