SPRINGFIELD – Peggy L. Marx, 62, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at her home.

She was born September 22, 1960 to James and Mary Lou (Lewis) Bryant. She married John Marx in Springfield on September 22, 1978. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Bryant.

Peggy enjoyed arts and painting rocks. She cherished time spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Dawn Kane (Michael); son, John "Jay" Marx (Jaclyn); step-son, Michael Simpson; grandchildren, Cody Kane (Cassy), Gabbrielle Marx (Dante), Dalton Kane (Ryder), Simeon Hutchins, Malayna Marx and Jaylin Marx; great-grandchild, Ny'air Cole; sister, Debra Sanders (Ed); and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
