SPRINGFIELD, IL – Penny M. Lang, 72, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020, at her home.

She was born March 29, 1948, to Wilbur and Virginia (McWilliams) Betz. She was preceded in death by her son, James "Jimmy" Lang II and sister, Patty.

Penny retired from Hope School. She enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Tara Hollo (fiancé, Stephen Townsend), Erin (Mark) Lancaster, Megan Lang and Jesse Lang (Samantha Barnett); the father of her children, James (Nancy) Lang; 13 grandchildren and one on the way; 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Kathy Solomson and Debbie Sims; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
