SPRINGFIELD, IL – Peter Nicolas Pappas, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born in Greece on January 28, 1938, to Nicolas and Giannoula Papalexatos, both of whom preceded him in death.

Peter was the former owner and operator of Dealer's Choice, Pete's Café and The Orange Bowl. He enjoyed watching all sports and loved playing cards, especially poker and gin rummy. He was a member of St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; sons, Nicolas Pappas and John Pappas; grandchildren, Kamryn, Mikos and Myles; one brother; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held.
