SPRINGFIELD, IL – Raymond Frank Kohler, 73, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at Farmington Country Manor.

He was born in Springfield on November 29, 1947, to Raymond Joseph and Vivian Louise (Osborne) Kohler, both of whom preceded him in death.

He married Patricia K. George on August 9, 1969, celebrating 50 years together before her passing in 2019. Together they had two sons, Raymond "Ray Ray" Lee Kohler, who survives him, and Harold Ray Kohler, who passed away in 2017.

He is also survived by a granddaughter, Erica Rae Kohler; grandson, Bobby Ray (Jonathan) Perez; great-grandchildren, Trae'Lee L. Perez and J'Leighona June Perez; and granddaughter, Alayna Ray.

Ray was an avid welder and loved building anything and everything. He served in the United States Army as a Ranger and worked many years for Solomon Colors prior to his retirement.
