SPRINGFIELD, IL – Raymond W. Woodruff, Jr., 77, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at his home.

He was born September 22, 1944, to Raymond and Dorothy (Danley) Woodruff, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Woodruff.

Ray was a U.S. Army veteran, earning the Good Conduct Medal. He owned Woodruff's Barber Shop and worked as a custodian for District 186. He collected baseball cards, played softball and loved watching sports.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Craig) Gannar and Marla Woodruff; and grandchildren, Barbara Gannar and Cory Gannar.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Harney officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
