SPRINGFIELD – Richard L. Kornet, 79, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 13, 1944 to Louis and Marjorie (Garbin) Kornet, both of whom preceded him in death.

Richard retired as a field engineer for Westinghouse. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and surfing the web on his computer.

He is survived by his sisters, Shirley Kornet and Linda (Donald) Lowry; nephew, Frank (Erin) Lowry; great-niece, Madelyn; great-nephew, Zakary; and several aunts and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
