SPRINGFIELD, IL – Richard E. Offer, 73, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at his home.

He was born June 4, 1948 to Wilbur and M. Louella (King) Offer; both of whom preceded him in death.

Richard was the owner and operator of R&O Tractor Trailer. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; children, Brian Offer (companion, Stella), Randy (Mary) Offer and Lisa (Darin) Kellogg; grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner and Nathan; brother, Kenneth (Bev) Offer; and two nieces.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
