SPRINGFIELD, IL – Robert L. Fehrholz, 76, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born July 18, 1943, to Hans and Rae (Blauvelt) Fehrholz.  He married Helen Hughes in Riverton on July 31, 1982.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his dog, Chance.

Robert retired as warehouse foreman for School District 186 after 38 years of service.  He was a great bowler and liked hunting, fishing and roller skating.  He enjoyed playing washers with his extended family at the Village Tap.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Carrie (Keith) Kincaid, Robert J. (Shannon) Fehrholz, Tara Tabit, Brett (Gina) Tabit and Alicia (Joe) Rappe; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Allan (Jane) Fehrholz; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor Benny Fisher officiating.  Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Protective League.
