SPRINGFIELD, IL - Robert E Unterbrink, 84, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at his home.

Robert was born in Alton, IL on May 13, 1938, to John and Mary (Cruse) Unterbrink. He married Ellie Kell on September 24, 1982, in Springfield, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Elli; children, Sue Unterbrink, Bill (Mandy) Unterbrink, Gwen Giganti (Carl) and Kris Kell (Melissa); nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and sisters, Darlene Spurr (Art) and Marcella Girdlestone.

Robert was a US Air Force Veteran. He retired from Commonwealth Edison and was a member of Grace Church and Lefthanders Gun Club.

Memorial Service in honor of Bob will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Grace Church, 3401 S. 6th Street at 6pm. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
