SPRINGFIELD, IL – Robert A. "Chuck" Walbert, Jr., 72, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born November 22, 1946, to Robert A. and Dorothy June (Graham) Walbert.

Chuck was a US Army veteran and a union roofer. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and tinkering with trucks, and built his own monster truck. He loved his dogs and two cats and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pam; children, Roberta Ann (Scott) Thomas, Rebecca (Thomas) Hamilton and Chuck (Laura) Walbert; grandchildren, Jacob (Kim) Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Thomas Wayne Hamilton, Emma Walbert and Cory Walbert; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Tori and Abraham Thomas and Jerrett and Jaxon Hamilton; sister, Bobbie Ann Maggio; brother, Terry Lee Walbert; and several nieces and nephews.
