JACKSONVILLE, IL - Ronald Lee Senters, Sr. entered his heavenly home May 20, 2020.

He was born February 27, 1941 in Jacksonville, IL to John Archiebald and Marjorie Lucille Smith Senters.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glenna Coats Senters.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald L Senters, Jr., parents, siblings Harold D Senters and Darlene Souza and a nephew Edward G. Souza II.

He is survived by nieces Venita Beal, Ky; Barb Byrne and Deb Seibert, Coal Valley; and Diana Weiner, Springfield and their families.

Ron worked 23 years for Gambles-Skogmo at their Denver, Co. and Monmouth, IL warehouses.  Later working for Western IL Library System and manager for Chateau Deville Apartments in Springfield.

He was a US Army veteran, serving 1966-72

Ron was a destination therapy LVAD patient for the last 8 and half years.  He loved being a spokesman for the VAD, sharing with other patients, doctors and nurses his history with the heart pump.

Most will remember Ron as the man wearing the fishing vest with all kinds of wires and gadgets coming out of it, singing his heart out for the Lord of his life, Jesus

Christ.  Everyone who knew him, knew he loved Jesus.

His remains will be placed beside his son Ron, Jr at Oak Hill Cemetery of Clear Lake, Springfield at a later date.
