SPRINGFIELD- Ronald Lee Trego, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Sunbury, PA, on May 17, 1942, to Chester and Ethel (Shaffer) Trego. He met Diane Whitlock in 1974 and they were united in marriage on May 7, 1993, in Las Vegas.

Ron was the owner of Dr. Trego's Auto Body for 55 years. He was a life member of the TRN Club. He loved his 1940 Chevy Coupe and his faithful canine companion, Buddy.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; grandchildren, Veronica Lorton and John Smith; great-grandchildren, Chase Lorton, Reese Schildman and Abigail Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his sons, Ronnie Trego and John Trego; sisters, Evelyn Stackhouse and Doris Miller; and brothers, James L., Larry E. and Chester A. Trego.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his team members, Alex Lorton and Glen Motes, for their hard work and dedication to Dr. Trego's Auto Body.
