Obituary

Rosemary LeMasters, 95, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Lebanon South Rehab and Nursing in Lebanon, Missouri.

Rosemary was born in New Berlin, IL on January 21, 1930 to Joseph and Mary (Reed) Haugh.

She graduated from New Berlin High School. Rosemary married Harold LeMasters on October 5, 1950 at St. Mary's Church in New Berlin, and they spent 61.5 years together. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph (Mary Claire) Haugh; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret "Margy" (Bernard "Bud") Dwyer, sister, Doris C. Robinson; and brother-in-law, Edward Pillar.

Rosemary worked for the State of IL Department of Children and Family Services, retiring after 18 years of service. Rosemary was a member of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Rosemary had many friends over the years, and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by two sons, Bill LeMasters (Cheryl Murphy) of Ft. Myers Beach, FL and Tom (Diana) LeMasters of Linn Creek, MO; a daughter, Debbie (Paul) Feldtmose of Petersburg, IL; 6 grandchildren, JD (Stacy) Martin, Michael Martin, Brad (Kaitlyn) LeMasters, Matt LeMasters, Shelley Lamantia Wright and Joe (Casey) Murphy; 5 great grandchildren, Blake and Charlie Martin, Brooklyn Murphy, Ryan (Ashley) and Tory Lamantia; 1great-greatgrandchild, Evelyn Lamantia and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her sister, Bernadine Pillar, of Lombard, IL and brother-in-law, David Robinson of Springfield.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lebanon South Skilled Nursing Center for the exceptional care given to Rosemary the past 2 years.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
