SPRINGFIELD, IL – Ruth Douglas, 94, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at her home.

She was born May 2, 1927, in Delta, Colorado, to Leon and Edith (Star) Angel. She married Wilson Douglas on December 7, 1969, in Caldwell, Idaho. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Ruth was a homemaker and pastor's wife. She was a member of Wesleyan Holiness Church.

She is survived by her husband, Reverend Wilson Douglas; daughter, Helen Hadix; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:15 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastors Jason Ellis and Russell Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wesleyan Holiness Church.
