SPRINGFIELD, IL – Ruthie J. Bredberg, 75, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at her daughter's home.

She was born August 31, 1945, to Floyd and Mabel (Reed) Arnold. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Rapp; John Sirtout; and grandsons, Lucky Hamilton and Erik Cihlar.

Ruth was employed at Starr 66 for over 30 years. She loved playing slots, bingo, riverboating and setting up flea markets.

She is survived by her children, Loren Killen, Jr., Gina Cihlar and Melissa (Buddy) Hamilton; grandchildren, Amanda, Lorence and Brendee' Killen, Tasha Skeens, Gracie Patrick, Haili Killen and Raymie Taylor; great-grandchildren, Aiden Williams, Amari Skeens, Avian Skeens, Haylee Carroll, Violet Patrick, Willow Carroll, EJ Rogers and Logan Halbert; brother, Sam Arnold; sister, Sharon Henry; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gina Cihlar to assist with funeral expenses.
