Obituary

ROCHESTER – Sandra Leona Heinrich, 78, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born September 16, 1947, to Paul and Margaret (Hamrick) Gentry. She married Larry M. Heinrich on September 30, 1972. He preceded her in death in 2022. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nellie Reno and Nancy Gentry; and brothers, Edath, Ernest, Paul and Myril Gentry.

Sandra retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue in 2008 after 37 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing Bingo and baking Christmas cookies. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Keli) Casper, Greg (Lisa) Casper, Kimberly (Ron) Hutmacher and Brad (Mary) Heinrich; grandchildren, Evan (Amanda) Casper, Molly (Will) Boyce, Madison Hutmacher, Nicholas (Sydni) Hutmacher, Sophia Hutmacher, Kenna Roettgers, Josh Mincey, Heather Johnson, Kayla Moore, Joe Cloud and Kendall Heinrich; great-grandchildren, Ellis Casper, Leona Casper, Aria Highcock, Kade Hutmacher, Waylon Voyles, Weslyn Deshaun, Walker Deshaun, Bexley Hadden, Beckett Hadden and Brynnly Annerino; brothers, David Gentry and Bill Gentry; sisters, Louise (George) Clark, Marilyn Gentry, Emma Simmons, Anna Hartley and Judy Oger; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2026, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
